Heinrich Hoffmann invented this game for his beloved grandchildren in 1879. Inspired by Jules Verne’s novel „Around the World in 80 Days“, Hoffmann’s Fix is three days faster than Phileas Fogg. „Fix“ means „quick“ in German. The goal is to be the first to reach Bickenbach (space 77). From this small town near Darmstadt, the players roll the dice through the world and experience adventures. The game is suitable for the whole family. The rules are simple. Anyone who can already count to six or has someone who can count and read aloud (without cheating, of course!) for the other players can take part. The winner, as it has been handed down for the Hoffmann family, was allowed to use the honorary title “Fix von Bickenbach” for a whole day, and all the other players had to be especially nice to the incumbent Fix.
